For those of you who know Reid Davis is a storyteller extraordinaire, but this past Sunday, November 6th Reid put his keyboard aside and donned the cape of long distance runner.  Starting at the foot of the Verrazano-Narrows bridge in Staten Island and finishing 26.2 miles later on West Drive in Central Park, near Tavern on the Green Reid completed his fifth marathon at a time of 4:27:57. This was Reid’s slowest of his five marathon’s and when asked about his time Reid stated “This was the slowest and that was okay. I always said that if I ever got into this one, I’d keep the pace manageable and be a running tourist.”

In his other four marathons, two in the Marine Corps Marathon (D.C.), The Publix Georgia Marathon and the Atlanta Marathon, Reid’s times were just under 4 hours, which incidentally is a about one third of the time it takes him to write a ‘Winning Story.’
